After two weeks of resting, CCA resumes.
Although CO starts at 2pm today, I set off from home at 11+am.
Had lunch at Admiralty & bought the books needed for Sec 3.
The books seem little but it’s very thick & EXP !
It costs $200+ for just 7 books.
Lols, just looking at the number of pages can make me faint.
Wondering how will I be able to cope next year ;x

It’s december now and
2010 is coming.
Christmas is coming.
Sec 3 school life is coming.
Homeworks are coming.
Many things are coming !
Although there are no more exams,
I’m still feeling very stressed !
Okayys, back to tv.

Ben.

While Zachary is having his YQGE on the 25th,
the other Sec2s and Sec3s, including me are doing CIP.
St John’s Flag Day.

Went to school early in the morning at 6.10am.
Saw a group of students already at Admiralty Station asking for donation.
Isn’t that abit too early ? Lols.
Met Khiam Li at the traffic light and chatted as we walked to school.
Waited for decades before we are given the tin and stickers.
Then, Elliot and I left for Serangoon.
There is no shopping centre there but just a small market.
Went to the market place and ask for donations.
Hanged there for around 40minutes and got a total of $10+.
As there weren’t much crowd, we decided to head off for Kovan.
Upon alighting at Kovan MRT station, we could see a group of campers
surrounding the shopping mall, bus interchange, bus stop and even the hawker centre.
Notice what I say, a GROUP of campers.
I guess the whole school camped at Kovan ):
It was crowded there but due to the campers,
we’re forced to leave Kovan.

Then, we head off to Chinatown.
Our 3rd stop.
Although there arent as much campers like Kovan,
there isnt much tourists as it is still early. 10am+
Hence, we went to have our breakfast at Macs.
In fact, only I had mine.
After filling up my stomach, we continued to ask for donations at Chinatown.
At 11.30am, we already collected $22 and thus, decided to slack.
However, I called Yunlong as realised that since I’m sharing the tin with
Elliot, we had to collect double the amount. $40.
… …
After much persuasion, Elliot agreed to go Jurong East – suggested by me.
It was a long journey from East to West.
However, our efforts are paid off when we collected around $45++ there.
After collecting about $45, we decided to head back to school.
Went back to school and arrived at 2.10pm.
Then, heard that those who went back before 3pm are only given 7 hours of CIP.
Lols, afew of us then went to slack at the basement until 3pm. =X
HAHAHA.
Through this flag day, i realised the difficulty in asking people to donate money.
Also, the ugly side of human nature.
It’s really tired to run from one place to another, walking around to ask
for donation.
But, I guess we all learnt much.

Woke up early in the morning at 5+,
wash up and head off to school.
Just as I was about to board he train at Admiralty,
I realised I forgot to bring SLEEPING BAG !
Lols, one of the most important item for camp.
Called home to tell my dad to search for it
while I took the bus back home.
Reached home,
took my sleeping bag and set off once again.
The cycle repeats.
20mins wasted.

In the end,
reached school at 7.10am.
Set up the props and stations for rotational games .
Then people started coming in.
We were preparing the games, collecting consent forms and money.
Then started games, lunch, then Sports Education Programme.
It rained.
Didn’t affect the INLINE SKATING though they started late too.
ARCHERY was waiting for the instructor to find a place to start.
LAZER COMBAT went all the way out but had to come back to school due to the rain.
But we still managed to play in school.
It was fun although at first try most of us fell prey to friendly fire.
Haha.
GROUP 4 YOU ROCK ! :D
Consisted of RuoWei, Quanfang, XuanMing, JinHean, YouYuan, Edmund and Enzen.
Ownage !
Lols. The trainers really cheated lor.
Kept firing at us even if it was fighting amongst ourselves.
They got some respawn gun somemore ._.
So they of course won’t die lor.
But yup, we had loads of fun.
Anws, as I was chionging down the stairs to capture the flag,
I accidentally knocked my knee with the gun and it’s still blue black now.
Awws.

Then,
We had CIRCULAR XIAOZU
which we learnt another instrument for fun.
However, JinHong and I are busying coaching the 8 people YangQin.
Although none managed to master the song,
I guessed they had fun too.
Then we had outdoor cooking.
I tagged up with Group 3 which consisted of JinHong, Gerald Wee, Aspen,
Yun Long, Mervin, Brian tan, Shi Wei, and 3 primary school boys.
While preparing the food,
YunLong injured himself while using the can opener.
Blood oozed out profusely.
Hope he’s alright now.
After all the cooking,
it’s time for NIGHT GAMES which was planned last minute.
During the games, some seniors,
YuFan and I are in the CO room chatting
as Long Lao Shi states clearly that Game Ics arent suppose to play the games
but keep the games runout smooth.
Fyi, I’m one of the Game Ics.
After the games ended,
there was reflections and debrief.
Then we, the organising comittee had a meeting which started at 12am. =X
Was “debrief-ed” by Long Lao Shi until 2am+ and started making the doorgifts and
editing of emcee scripts after that.
Everything ended at 3.30am and I went to sleep.

Day 2.
Had breakfast ..
Then had amazing race.
Once again, YuFan and I arent able to play the game and thus,
have to stay in school for 7 hours straight.
Awaiting for the teams to come back.
Practiced yangqin, went to S11 to have lunch with LimQian and Yufan,
bought a $49.90 Nike Sports Earphone for the lucky draw that’s gonna be
held at night and came back.
That’s how we spend the 7 hours.
After which,
Xuanming & some Sec4s started coming in and we chatted for some time.
As I was wrapping up the present,
I heard that Joshua’s team are coming back.
It’s only 1.33pm and they are back, emerging as the first team.
The game is suppose to end at 3pm.
Lols,
After that, JinHong’s team reached second at 2.02pm.
However, they forfeited 2 tasks over 6.
The exciting part came.
3 teams met one another at Bishan MRT station as chiong-ed back to vie for
the third placing.
ChengJun, KuanHoe and Martin.
ChengJun’s team arrived at 2.28pm,
KuanHoe’s team arrived at 2.29pm and
Martin’s team arrived at 2.30pm.
Woos, what a close fight.
After all the teams are back,
it’s almost time for the 10th year anniversary celebrations.
Shawn and I are the emcees for the night.
He’s so enthu as compared to me .__.
No proper location.
No mics.
Everything’s messy.
Especially the skit.
Nothing can be heard and understood.
The buffet was yummy and there were many leftovers.

Then dismissed them,
with those who wanted to watch movies went for a movie marathon
and those who didn’t want went to sleep.
Had a meeting till 12plus I think.
Then we went to bath/change/watch movie and all.
Was feeling damn sleepy but in the end,
went down to join the rest for the movie
as there were hardly any people back in their bunks.
Was watching the movie halfway when Yufan called out for me.
Went out of the LT
and went in the Co room to discuss the games and prepare the props for
Day 3 rotational games.
Had some arguments with YuFan concerning about the games and
hence, went out to take a breather.
Just as I was about to go back,
I noticed someone sitting down at the canteen.
My vision was blur without my specs and I strained my eyes
to see who was it.
Then, realised it was JinHong.
So we chatted awhile as I guess he wasnt happy with the performance.
Only at 4.30am, I went back sleep.

Day 3.
It’s rather smooth as compared to Day 1 & 2.
The games are much more fun and organised.
Went around to see the teams having a whale of a time, enjoying themselves.
After which the camp ended.
Debrief-ed and gave out chocolates.
__

Really tired.
Only 3 hours of sleep the 1st day.
And 1 hour on the 2nd.
Slept all the way from 8.30pm till 1pm in the afternoon!
17.5 hours of sleep.
After which slept again at 5pm till 8.30pm at night.
Within 24 hours a day, I slept 20 hours.
Lols,
I think this is the most I had slept for a day ever. HAHAHA.

Overall,
The learning experience was fulfilling.
I guess, the best way to learn is to fail and make mistakes.
As the saying that Long Lao Shi wants all of us to find,
“Sucess builds character, failure reveals it.”
If it all went well and we were just taught these skills,
we wouldn’t be able to remember as well.
Thanks guys.
I won’t regret taking part in this year’s Camp.
And if I do get another chance to replay this,
I will still choose the same people to work with.
Through this, we really got to learn how to work with each other more.
Through this, we got to know each other more.
Through this, we really learnt so much.

At night, Jinhong told me on msn that
I’d be teaching the people Yangqin together with him
for the circular xiaozu games.
Discussed a while and
decided to teach them 有一个姑娘
It seems easy but it’s not as it is an edited version.
Still, it’s nice & learn-able.
After that,
Told Jinhong to scan me the scores so that I’m able to learn.
The ink is so light as it is handwritten.
Practiced for a while and went to watch the unbeatables.
Another day is over.

Just came back from yishun after eating dinner.
Vegetarian food though.
It’s yummy anws.
Have to get cracking with camp stuffs.

After that went to go see the results for class`10.
I’m allocated to 3-7 with Kelvin & Elliot.
And GOSHH,

What will happen to the class during SYF period ?

Hmms, who will be our class form teacher ?
Alot of good teachers going off this year.

Went for CO today.
It’s sectional practice and lasts for 4 hours, 1-5pm.
Practice for some time and went up to find Mrs Ng for meeting
about the games during the CO camp which will be held
on the 19th to 21st of November.
Discussed until 4pm+
and realised I have not been taught the other songs by Wei Lao Shi.
Rushed down to CO room and
heard Wei Lao Shi playing the last few notes of the song.
AHHH,
Luckily he still taught me in the end.

Reached home at 5pm
and started to type out the instructions for
the games to be sent to Mrs Ng by tonight.
Use 2 hours+ to type and edit.
Tired.
